Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-19
This policy sets out what you must not do with the app “myupuri” (the “Service”). It expands on section 4 (What you must not do) of the Terms of Service. Everyone who uses the Service must follow it.
1. Shooting and sharing
myupuri is for shooting together, on the spot, with everyone in the photo agreeing to it. The following are prohibited:
- photographing someone without their consent, or pressuring someone who does not want to be photographed;
- voyeuristic or covert photography (for example in changing rooms, toilets or baths, or aiming at body parts or under clothing);
- deliberately capturing bystanders who are not taking part, without their consent;
- publishing or distributing photos or videos on social media or elsewhere without the consent of everyone in them;
- using AI edit to change how someone in a photo looks in a way they would not want (for example swapping faces or making them look like someone else).
2. Sexual content and child safety
- taking, storing or sharing obscene photos or videos, or photos or videos of sexual acts;
- taking, storing or sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any content that sexualises a person under 18 is prohibited (see Child Safety);
- sexual approaches to people under 18 (grooming), or trying to meet them for sexual purposes;
- getting someone to take or send nude or underwear photos, or using such photos to threaten them;
- trying to use AI edit to create nude, underwear or sexual images.
3. Harassment and stalking
- using the “touch phones to shoot” feature to approach, follow or pressure someone to meet when they do not want to;
- using a shoot as a way to find out, or to publish, where someone lives, studies or works;
- threatening, insulting or discriminating against people, or bullying or shaming them with photos;
- demanding money or goods using photos or videos.
4. Impersonation and age
- impersonating someone, or using another person’s face or an image you have no right to use as your profile photo;
- giving a false date of birth when signing up (people under 13 may not use the Service);
- using someone else’s account, or lending, transferring or selling your account.
5. Invite codes and accounts
- buying or selling invite codes (including exchanging them for money, goods or points on other services);
- handing out invite codes to the public on social media, message boards, marketplace apps or similar;
- creating multiple accounts to invite more people than the limit allows (currently three per person), or to use the first-come allowance for signing up without an invite code.
6. Misusing the system
- reverse engineering or modifying the app or our servers, or exploiting vulnerabilities;
- unauthorised access, or trying to obtain other users’ photos, videos or account information;
- automated operation by bots or scripts, mass requests, or anything else that puts excessive load on our servers;
- getting around the Service’s limits or mechanisms by improper means.
7. Illegal acts and infringement
- breaking the law, or acts that lead to crime;
- infringing other people’s copyright, trademarks, portrait rights, privacy or other rights (see the Content and Rights Policy);
- acts contrary to public order and morals.
8. What we do about violations
If there is a violation, or we judge that there may be one, we may take the following action without notice. We may not be able to explain our reasons in each case.
- a caution or warning
- deleting the photos, videos, profile photo or other content concerned
- invalidating invite codes
- suspending or deleting the account
- reporting to the police or other authorities
9. Reporting
If you see a violation, tell us through the contact form, with the nickname, what happened and when, as far as you can. For anything involving child safety, see also Child Safety.
10. Changes
The acts listed here are examples. Anything else that breaches the Terms of Service is also prohibited. If we change this policy we will announce it in the app or on this page.
