iOS and Android are on the way

What it is

Not a camera app. A record of meeting.

You cannot use it alone. It wakes up only when two people are in the same place and their phones touch. That is what makes every strip proof that you met.

One moment, two phones

The phones sync their clocks first, so the two shots land within half a second of each other — the same instant, from both sides.

Days are the headline

The biggest number on the strip is how many days you have met that person. It grows every time you see each other.

There and then

No shooting from apart, no stitching photos later. It is a reason to actually go and meet.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. Touch your phones

Bring them close and they pair themselves. No pairing screen, no list of people nearby.

  2. Shoot together

Four frames, three seconds apart. The countdown appears on both phones at the same time.

  3. Get the strip

Left: you, shot by them. Right: them, shot by you. Choose from four layouts.

Features

Keep the time you spent together.

Four-frame strip

Four rows, two columns, with the date and the number of days you have met.

Video of the shoot

The moments around each shutter are saved as an mp4, so the mood comes back later.

Seasonal designs

Backgrounds and frames change on their own during events like Christmas or graduation.

Albums by person

Browse by who you were with, and get a year-end card every December.

Three or four people

Two phones shoot; anyone else joins the circle as someone in the photo.

Works offline

Phones talk to each other directly, so it works where the signal does not.

Safety

No strangers, ever.

  • Invite only

You need an invite code to join, and each person can invite up to three friends.

  • Nobody nearby is shown

Until two phones touch, no one around you appears on screen. There is no list of people to browse.

  • 13 and over

We ask for your date of birth at sign-up. People under 13 cannot use myupuri.

  • Your location stays yours

We never send your location. Photos and albums stay on your phone for now.

  • Leave any time

You can delete your account from the app. Your personal data is erased and cannot be restored.

Pricing

Free to use.

Shooting, strips and albums are free. A few extras, such as collaboration frames, are in-app purchases.

Payments go through the App Store or Google Play.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it alone?

Shooting needs at least two people together. On your own you can see the countdown to your next meet-up and your albums.

Does it work between iPhone and Android?

Yes. Phones connect over Bluetooth, so iPhone-to-iPhone and iPhone-to-Android both work.

Where do I get an invite code?

From a friend who already uses myupuri. They can send you a code or a QR code from the invite screen.

Where are my photos stored?

On your phone for now. You can also save them to your photo library.

Does it work without internet?

Shooting does, because the phones connect directly. You only need a connection to sign in and to use invites.

Meeting up? Bring myupuri.

We will let you know as soon as it is out.
