Copyright and Other Rights Claims
Last updated: 2026-09-19
This is the procedure for anyone who believes that content handled in the Service infringes their copyright, trademark, portrait rights, privacy or other rights.
1. What this covers
We accept claims about content such as:
- designs in the app, such as frames, characters and stickers
- profile photos and nicknames shown to other users
- content on this website (myupuri.com)
- other content we handle in connection with the Service
2. Before you write to us
- Photos and videos are stored on the devices and in the accounts of the people who took part in the shoot, and we never publish them.
- For photos or videos posted on social media or other services, please contact that service first.
- Report anything involving child sexual abuse immediately, as described in Child Safety.
3. What to include
- your name (for a company or organisation, its name and the name of the person in charge) and contact details (such as an email address)
- whether you are the rights holder or an agent (if an agent, something showing that the rights holder has authorised you)
- the type and details of the right you believe is infringed (please attach anything that shows you hold the right)
- information that identifies the content you believe is infringing (where it appears in the app, nickname, screenshots, URL, date and time, and so on)
- why you believe it is an infringement
- a statement that the information in your claim is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised by the rights holder
4. Where to send it
Send your claim through the contact form, choosing “Rights infringement claim” as the topic. Send documents and screenshots by replying to the email we send you.
5. What we do
- We review each claim and, where needed, ask for more information, remove the content or stop it from being shown, contact the users involved, or take other action.
- Whether we act, and how and when, is for us to decide in light of the law and the circumstances. We do not promise any particular action or outcome.
- Before deciding, we may tell the users involved what the claim says and ask for their view.
- We handle the personal information of people who make claims in line with our Privacy Policy.
6. False claims
- A claim that is untrue, or made without holding the right, can harm others and us, and may lead to legal liability.
- If we suspect a claim is unjustified, we may ask for more information or decline to act.
7. Requests to disclose sender information
Requests to disclose information about the person alleged to have infringed rights (sender information), and similar requests, are handled under the applicable laws, such as Japan’s Information Distribution Platform Act (情報流通プラットフォーム対処法).
Whether we disclose anything is decided against the requirements of the law. Court proceedings may be needed.
8. Changes
If we change this procedure we will announce it on this page.
